The First Supper

The First Supper is a recreation of The Last Supper only now Jesus is seated among women. In an aquarian manner the table is round, all are equal and the many individuals share many voices and stories. The identity of the guests are reflected in the tableware and counts both ancient Goddesses like Venus and modern groups of women like the #Metoo campaign, as well as the Kurdish Female Fighters. Mother Mary is also represented at the table: she is here to change the way we think of women today by asking us to question the stories we have been told about women throughout time. For what if the story of Mother Mary wasn´t that she was a virgin who did the impossible and gave birth to the son of God. What if the story of Mother Mary was that she, a women with a womb, gave birth to a child who came to earth to change us. What if the story of Mother Mary was to teach us that ALL women can give birth to a child who has the potential to do what Jesus did, what would be different today?
